There is still a chance to catch up with friends and fellow members at the
The Rockville House Hotel
2 Joppa Pans
The event is aimed at novices and those who may have had a little angling experience. The plan is to introduce a new sport to injured service people and Veterans, get them out for a day, introduce fly fishing to them and hopefully see if it is something they can take forward themselves.
Scottish Disability Fly Fishing Association: SDFFA are open to work with any veteran or disabled individual who wants to come along.
The date is confirmed as Friday 30th August.
The venue will be Millhall Fishery, Polmont, Falkirk. www.millhall-reservoir.co.uk.
Our hosts will be Avonbank Angling Club.
The fishery is very close to junction 4 M9 travelling from Edinburgh. I will provide full directions nearer the time.
The fishery has great access, good platforms and good size lodge as well.
The Scottish Disabled Fly Fishing Association(SDFFA) will provide coaches (trainers) and equipment.
The programme will be along the lines of arrive 9.30, have safety briefing then commence 10am. We can be very flexible and finish when we want but schedule will be 4pm finish. It will be very informal and lunch will be provided.
Participants need to bring wellies/boots and waterproofs. Headwear and eye protection(sunglasses are fine). Participants will need to make their own travel arrangements.
I need to know from you by 19 August (remembering first come first served) the following details:
Name of Participants
Any particular disability/need ( wheelchair user, mobility issues)

Whilst we are fishing from the bank, or from platforms we will have option to take a boat out as well. Lifejackets will be provided by the fishery. It will be optional for anglers to go out on boat.
